Kathryn Jarvis

Education: Bachelor of Design for Stage and Screen. Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching

Languages: English, Te Reo Māori.

Kia ora, my name is Kathryn, and I’m so excited to be a part of the Ficino community!

I studied a Bachelor of Design for Stage and Screen and have spent the past few years designing and making sets and props for children’s theatre shows, amongst my own creative projects. I absolutely love working with children and feel so lucky to be part of their journey at such a special age, when the world begins to open up and they’re learning how to explore, create, and do things for themselves.

I hold a Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching and have taught in a Year 1 classroom, which deepened my love for nurturing creativity and confidence in tamariki.

In my free time, I enjoy gardening, painting, and various arts and crafts. I’m passionate about imaginative play and love finding ways to bring joy and wonder into everyday learning.

I’m excited to get to know you all and be part of your child’s learning journey!
