Not only is a healthy, balanced diet central to good learning, social interactions and opportunities for personal care and care of the environment abound!
All the children’s food is provided by the Preschool, including morning and afternoon tea. The food served is in-season and vegetarian, with one hot dish. It is prepared freshly each day in the Ficino School kitchen. Children with food allergies of gluten intolerance will be catered for as required.
Mealtimes are about more than just food at Ficino Preschool with our preschoolers’ learning to serve and care for one another- they also have the opportunity to practise their social interactions. The daily appointment of ‘class leaders’ is an eagerly anticipated opportunity for them to practise their leadership skills.
Lunch will also be an opportunity for the students to practise their table manners and learn to use cutlery appropriately.
Our Enrolment Process
Ficino Montessori Preschool is an intimate boutique early childhood centre for toilet-trained over 2-year-old’s
- The first step is a 30 minute tour with our centre manager, Kenna.
- At the visit you will receive a copy of the enrolment form, information on fees and uniform requirements.
- An Informal Interview with your child and our Head Teacher is held to see where your child fits in.
- We encourage families to apply well in advance due to demand and roll sizes.
