Enrolment

Children need to be given the time to settle into preschool and get used to the environment, so we recommend they start as early as possible! We suggest that children start between the age of 2.5 and 3 years old. We love to see the relationships they build with their teachers and peers and how they demonstrate their interests and strengths as they begin their learning journey.

Once they feel comfortable in their new environment, they can start to learn. From here we see their imagination take over – they are happy to ask and discuss questions, collaborate with their friends and think outside the box.

Our students are required to be toilet-trained before they start at Ficino Montessori Preschool however, we do encourage families to apply well in advance to secure a space.

Application and Enrolment Information

On receipt of your child’s application form and $100 fee, you will both be invited to an informal meeting with one of our teachers. This meeting allows us to see whether your child fits within our current student cohort and if they are physically and mentally ready for preschool.

You will fill out more enrolment details including which days and times you wish your child to attend.

As we require our students to be toilet-trained before they start at Ficino Montessori Preschool, most of the children are between 3 – 5 years old. We do encourage families to apply well in advance to secure a space.

*Please note that you will need to apply for admission to Ficino School should you wish to enrol your child at the school. It is recommended that you attend one of the regular school tours to gain an overview of the school.

Confirmation

We will confirm your offer of a place as soon as possible, in writing. The Letter of Acceptance usually has mutually agreed familiarisation visits with days and times noted.
